As Australia’s leading supplier of pure essential oils, essential oil blends and carrier oils, Ahimsa is a well-established trusted brand that places great importance on ethical practices, service and quality. With its pre-existing site lacking full eCommerce functionality, the team at Kook set about rectifying that issue with the goal of maximising Conversion Rates and Return On Investment (ROI).

Our approach

We wanted to create a streamlined eCommerce site, while ensuring full Mobile Responsiveness and enabling ongoing content updates by Ahimsa, so utilised our proprietary content management system called WMS – which our clients find easy to use and very effective in managing their products.

The site’s backend allows administrators the opportunity to easily manage product catalogue and orders, adjust order amounts and freight, and re-send order confirmation emails.

With Ahimsa keen to not only grow its customer base but also create a better online experience, for both new and existing customers, our design team set about creating a more contemporary feel overall while retaining the existing logo for brand recognition and ensuring easy-to-use functionality from a customer perspective despite there being a comprehensive product base with multiple product variants.

We also included cross-selling functionality – for example, showing customers related products – along with the ability for customers to save wish lists containing products of their choice for a later purchase time and seamless integration with a payment gateway, eWay, to reduce the potential for abandoned shopping carts during the checkout process.

The results

Ahimsa's website is Mobile Responsive with a user-interface that is easy to use and navigate on any device, from desktop right down to handheld tablets and smartphones.

The full eCommerce integration is enabling Ahimsa reach new customers in combination with Kook’s ongoing Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) management and results-driven Google Adwords campaigns, with the ability to place Product Listing Ads (PLAs) on platforms such as Google Shopping further helping to optimise Conversion Rates and ensure ROI objectives are met.
