The Requirement / Brief

To update and modernise the 91.9 SEA FM and 92.7 MIX FM websites. The existing design and style dated back to mid-2017, and while it remained functional, the front and backend had become ‘busy’. The user experience wasn’t clear and the development of pages, posts and content had become convoluted. It was definitely time for a change.

The solution

A minimalistic approach was used for the overall design style of both websites. This extended to the navigation of the sites and a clearer, more defined user experience. The two sites have similar layouts, and a backend that has the same functionality installed, so managing content in the websites is much easier.

The Outcome

Online listening is now an important part of the audiences of 91.9 SEA FM and 92.7 MIX FM. It was important then that Listen Online was easily navigated to on all devices. And listeners love winning, so the design showcases current promotions and competitions. Last but not least, the persona of 91.9 SEA FM and 92.7 MIX FM is very ‘Sunshine Coast Local’, so the design also makes a point of displaying events everywhere from Caloundra to Noosa.
