Kook helps keep things flying at SC Airport

The Requirement / Brief

Kook was tasked with recreating Sunshine Coast Airport’s website on a new platform. 

The solution

The brief required the new WordPress site to have identical content, site structure, functionality and design as the original site.

The Outcome

The original website’s design and layout were recreated to the pixel, while functionality redeveloped or integrated into the new system included flight details and arrivals data as well as the parking widget. 

Details

Moving a website from one platform to another is generally more complex than it sounds, so such projects need to be well planned and executed.

Kook’s design team showed great attention to detail while our development team re-coded all functionality from the old website to ensure it worked the same way.

As the Sunshine Coast Airport gets quite a lot of web traffic, testing the new site to ensure it could handle high traffic volumes was an important final step.

Kook's in-house development team have recently upgraded the website to automatically accept FIDS data and generate real-time departures and arrivals display
