Systems integration – getting your products on the web

Posted on May 21st, by Glenn in What we're talking about. No Comments

Do you have all your products in a Point of Sale System (POS) or ERP solution? You have all the supply chain and logistics available but just can’t face the task of getting them on the web?

That’s where we come in.

We integrate Point Of Sale, accounting, ERP and CRM solutions (like MYOB or Quickbooks and hundreds of others) with the web. To us it doesn’t matter how many products or what type of system, it’s just a set of data that we can insert into a site including complex customer pricing structures, freight pricing rules and more.

We also build each customer a batch script that automates the website updating procedures. So they double click the script on their desktop (or it runs automatically at set intervals) and within minutes any changes to pricing, customer info, order history and the like are updated on the website.

For very little spend relative to your overall business expenditure, a website that capitalises on their existing infrastructure means they can dramatically increase revenue.

We also work hand in hand with clients to actively market their sites via GetPrice, MyShopping, Google AdWords and a host of other solutions.

Websites need to be integrated with your offline business

Posted on May 13th, by Glenn in What we're talking about. No Comments

At a barbecue recently, someone I just met asked me what I do for a living. When I answered “We build websites”  they asked “what sort of websites?”. I answered “ones to integrate with their offline business”, they said they didn’t really understand. So I decided to write this post based on the rest of the conversation.

You don’t need to know the web, you just need to know your web guys. It’s our job to work out what solution will best fit your business objectives. Some businesses just need a brochure website for branding and credibility, some require far more.

Mobile-responsive websites – why you need one

We have built a dedicated website with some additional information on having a mobile-responsive website. Where you used to need a website built for desktop computers and another designed specifically for mobile, programming advances mean you can have a website design that adapts to all sizes. This keeps maintenance and content update costs to minimum while also covering all those in-between devices like iPad, iPad Mini, tablets and the like as well.

What does a website cost?

Posted on April 15th, by Glenn in What we're talking about. No Comments

What does a website cost? The question most people want answered first, but realistically you need to know answers to every other question first before a quote can be close to accurate.

A better way of asking is “what’s your website worth to your business?”. (more…)

Rankings vs traffic vs conversions

Posted on February 14th, by Glenn in What we're talking about. No Comments

There’s a lot of misinformation floating around about “ranking” your website. We even got a phone call yesterday from Sensis (the old Yellow Pages) promising they could get us ranked for certain search phrases if we took an ad package with them.

To put it bluntly, “ranking” is the ego side of SEO. Sure it’s great to be up there, but the goal is increased visitor traffic and sales conversion, and you might be surprised at what works and what doesn’t. (more…)

Spam from SEO Companies, what would Google do?

Often Search Engine Optimization companies will email large numbers of default website emails, usually directly from a mailing list system without even visiting a website, claiming to have performed a free check up or offering a free SEO report on your website. (more…)
